Transit times above are BUSINESS days and do not include day of order (see our Order Cut Off Times below to calculate your actual day of order). Our courier does not offer deliveries on weekends or holidays. Our courier does not accept specific time deliveries (ie. after 2pm). PLEASE NOTE: Remote areas may take longer than stated. GUARANTEED shipping is not available to more remote areas, RR or PO box addresses.

The holiday season is our busiest time of year, and we take extra steps to ensure your gifts arrive safely and on time. With nearly 30 years of experience shipping across Canada, we prepare early, increase staff, and follow all carrier cut-off dates to help avoid seasonal delays. Orders placed by 12 p.m. EST continue to ship the same business day, and every gift is packed securely to withstand winter travel conditions.
While carriers may experience higher volume or weather-related delays during November and December, we monitor shipments closely and provide tracking updates so you can follow your gift’s journey. We always recommend ordering early for Christmas and other major holidays to ensure the best possible arrival window.

During the busy Christmas season, carrier volume increases and transit times can vary by region. We recommend ordering early to allow enough time for your gifts to arrive. We will continue to ship as quickly as possible and follow our normal cut off times, but these holiday guidelines can help you plan.

Recommended Ordering Dates for Christmas Delivery within Canada:

Ontario & Quebec: Order by December 21
Western Canada (MB, SK, AB, BC): Order by December 17
Atlantic Canada (NB, NS, PEI): Order by December 18 (NL Dec15)
Northern & Remote Areas: Order by December 16

These dates are guidelines based on typical seasonal transit times. Weather and carrier delays can still occur, but ordering ahead and following our cut off times gives your gifts the best chance of arriving on time.

We offer free Fedex ground shipping on certain gift baskets. Offer is available for gift baskets delivered within Canada with a retail price of over $100 each. Shipping charges are per item. REMOTE addresses may incur an additional fee. We will contact you, before proceeding, if this affects your package. See free shipping details

Rural & Remote Delivery Across Canada

We proudly deliver to rural and remote Canadian addresses using a mix of trusted carriers. If FedEx cannot reach a destination, we automatically use Canada Post to ensure your gift arrives safely. Remote-area shipments may require additional transit time, but every basket is packed with care to travel beautifully, no matter how far it goes.

USA Gift Delivery

Direct shipping from Canada to U.S. addresses is temporarily paused due to recent American import regulation changes. We continue to support U.S. gift delivery through a trusted American partner. Gifts are matched to your preferred budget or style and shipped from within the United States for fast, reliable delivery without border delays.

Dietary and Allergen Information

We offer a variety of nut-free, gluten-free, and sugar-free gift options to help you choose safely for recipients with dietary needs. Please note that while the products in these baskets are sourced from nut-free or specialty facilities, Boodles of Baskets is not a nut-free facility and cross-contamination may occur. If you have concerns about severe allergies, please contact us before ordering.

Order Cut Off Times

We will ship your gifts including gift baskets, candy grams, cookie grams, balloons and fudge, placed business days, Monday to Friday, before 12pm EST, on the same day you place the order. If you place your order after 12pm EST, on a weekend or holiday, your gift will be shipped out the next business day.(see transit times below). Order date is the date your ordered is processed which may be different than the date of your actual order. eg. You place your order Monday, a business day, by 12pm EST, your order date is Monday and your gift ships Monday. You place your order Monday, after 12pm EST, your order date is Tuesday and your gift ships Tuesday. In regards to transit time, your order/ship date is Day ZERO.

We will ship your fresh baked cookie (in a tin) and giant cookie orders out the next business day, if your order is placed business days Monday to Friday before 8pm EST. If you place your order after 8pm EST, on a weekend, or holiday, we will ship your order out the second business day. (see transit times below). Order date is the date your ordered is processed which may be different than the date of your actual order. eg. You place your order Monday, a business day, by 8pm EST, your order date is Tuesday and your gift ships Tuesday. You place your order Monday, after 8pm EST, your order date is Wednesday and your gift ships Wednesday. In regards to transit time, your order/ship date is Day ZERO.

We will ship your fresh popped popcorn as follows:

Orders placed by 12pm EST Monday-Friday are processed and shipped the next business day. Orders placed after 12pm, on the weekend or a holiday, will be processed and shipped the day after the next business day. eg. You place your order by 12pm EST Monday, a business day, your order date is Tuesday and your gift ships Tuesday. Your order is placed after 12pm EST Monday, a business day, your order date is Wednesday and your gift ships Wednesday. In regards to transit time, your order/ship date is Day ZERO.

Shipping charges are per gift regardless if going to the same or different addresses as each gift is shipped in its own specially designed box. If address errors are made during the order process, we will make the necessary corrections on your behalf and charge your credit card accordingly.
Eco-Friendly Packaging

We’re committed to reducing unnecessary packaging waste. For example, our Tower Gift Baskets arrive without cello-wrap, which helps eliminate single-use plastic while still delivering a beautiful presentation. The boxes in our tower designs are crafted for reuse—ideal for storing keepsakes, organizing craft supplies, or serving as stylish décor long after the treats are enjoyed.

Delivery-FEDEX

A majority of our shipping is done via FEDEX. Deliveries are made between 9 and 6 EST Monday to Friday. FEDEX does not allow time specific deliveries for any shipments (eg. by 12pm). FEDEX does not phone to arrange deliveries for any shipments. Delivery times (eg. 1 day) are estimates and are not guaranteed, unless Overnight or 3 day shipping is chosen. Overnight or 3 day service is not guaranteed between December 19 and January 6. Shipment times reflect business days. Shipping to remote locations in Canada or the USA, may require more time and an increase in shipping costs. We will not be held responsible for delays due to weather or other acts of God.

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has issued Boodles of Baskets a license to deliver beer, liquor, wine, and champagne. All of drivers are licensed to deliver alcohol. Only persons of legal drinking age can order alcohol from our website and receive delivery of baskets containing alcohol. Alcohol purchased should be for the personal consumption of the gift recipient and not for resale. If a gift recipient looks less than 25 years of age, we will require proof of age. Boodles of Baskets will comply with the rules and regulations as set out by the AGCO relating to this Liquor Delivery Service License. All wine, champagne, beer and liquor baskets sold by Boodles of Baskets includes a $15 delivery charge. So for example, if the total price paid by a customer for a gift basket containing alcohol before tax is $125, the price is $110 + $15 for deliver for a total of $125.00 plus taxes. The AGCO requires us to charge a minimum delivery charge on all liquor orders. We cannot ship Alcohol to the USA.

Hospital, Retirement Home, College & Facility Deliveries

Please note that not all hospitals or similar facilities accept deliveries directly for patients, residents, or students. Policies vary and gifts may be delayed or declined by the receiving department. We strongly recommend choosing a home delivery address whenever possible to ensure timely and reliable arrival.

Boodles of Baskets cannot be held responsible for gifts that are delivered to a facility’s shipping and receiving department but are not forwarded to the intended recipient. If any issues arise, we will always do our best to assist you in locating the gift—please feel free to contact us.

Non Delivery/Re-Delivery

Shipments to residential addresses will be left on the porch whenever possible, unless a signature is required. Deliveries to apartments and businesses may require a signature. If a signature is not requested, the courier may leave the package at the door, in the lobby, or in another accessible area if no one is home.

If the courier is unable to deliver, the package will be held at their designated pick-up location for 5 days. If it is not picked up within that timeframe, the gift will be returned to us.

Please note that the courier charges us for all packages returned to us. This return fee will be billed to you as soon as we receive notice from the courier. We will contact you immediately for further delivery instructions. Additional delivery charges will apply for any re-shipment.
If we do not receive instructions from you within 2 weeks of our attempt to reach you, the gift will be disposed of and no refund will be issued.

Canada Post Remote Address Note:
For remote and rural addresses, Canada Post may not deliver directly to the home. Deliveries may be redirected to a community mailbox or pick-up location in accordance with Canada Post policies. This is outside of our control and is considered a completed delivery.

Incorrect Address

If a basket is returned to us due to an incorrect address provided by you, we will contact you immediately for a correction, and the package will be re-shipped at an additional shipping fee. If an address change request is made or needed while the package is on route, a re-direct fee of $17.60 will apply. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide us with a complete and correct address (including buzzer #). Please check your addresses carefully! (Including a daytime phone number where the recipient can be reached is highly recommended.)

We are not responsible if the recipient is not home. Deliveries to homes, where courier has direct access to the front door will be left on the porch if safe to do so. Deliveries to apartments, offices and businesses may require a signature. Deliveries that do not require a signature, may be left in the lobby. For all deliveries-Two delivery attempts will occur (not on the same day). A delivery notice will be left if possible.
If a phone number is provided the courier may call recipient to make arrangements. If delivery is unable to proceed, the gift will be returned to us.  Our shipper will charge us a return fee for all returned gifts, which will be charged to you via the payment method used for the order. Delivery times to remote areas may take longer.

If an incorrect address is given, or the package needs to be redirected for any reason (other than our error), there is a re-direct fee of $16.95 + tax.

You’ll know exactly when your gift leaves our shop, be alerted to any delivery exceptions, and receive confirmation the moment it arrives — including who signed for it when the signature option is selected. Our responsive team is always here to help if you need clarification or support, ensuring a smooth, stress-free experience from start to finish.

-Orders received after 11:30 a.m. EST are processed and shipped the next business day (this is day 0). 

Popcorn Processing Times:

-Orders placed by 11:30 a.m. EST Monday-Friday are processed and shipped the next business day (this is day 0). 

-Orders placed after 11:30 a.m., on the weekend or a holiday, will be processed and shipped the day after the next business day (this is day 0).

Cookie Processing Times:

-Orders received by 8 p.m. EST Monday-Friday are processed and shipped the next business day (this is day 0). 

-Orders received after 8 p.m EST are processed and shipped the business day after next (this is day 0). 

-Orders received on weekends or holidays by 8 p.m. will be processed and shipped the next business day (this is day 0).

  • This offer applies to gift baskets only and delivery is by Fedex Ground.

  • To qualify for free shipping the gift basket itself must be $100 or more. 

  • Orders of cookies, fudge, popcorn, and gift baskets under $100 ship at the flat rate of $14.95. 

  • Remote addresses and P.O. boxes ship via Canada Post, starting at $16.95.

To ensure every gift arrives in perfect condition, our baskets and specialty items are packaged according to their specific needs. This means different products may require different boxes and protective materials, which can impact shipping costs. Even when shipping to the same address, combining items may require larger packaging and higher rates. For this reason, shipping is calculated by product type—allowing us to maintain safe, reliable, and transparent delivery.

As the holiday season is our busiest time of year, steps are taken to ensure your gifts keep moving. Preparation starts early, production is increased, and our most popular baskets are pre-build to ensure your next day delivery goes smoothly across Ontario during December.  

How Next Day Delivery Works

  • Daily cut off tine for orders for next day delivery is (12 p.m. EST).

  • Ensure you choose a gift that qualifies for next day delivery (popcorn is excluded)

  • Delivery must be in Ontario. 

Items that qualify for Next Day Delivery

Most gift baskets, and select items such as cookies, fudge, and balloons, are eligible for next-day delivery within Ontario.  Please reach out if unsure.

 

 

Shipping Details

  • Next-day delivery is via FedEx Ground. Orders placed by 12 p.m. EST ship the same business day. Most Ontario deliveries arrive the next business day.

  • For guaranteed overnight delivery, select our FedEx Overnight option.

  • PO Boxes and remote or rural Ontario addresses (including postal codes with zeros) must ship via Canada Post. Delivery times may vary for these locations, as they fall outside major courier routes. We automatically choose the carrier best suited for your postal code to ensure the safest and most reliable delivery possible.

Typical Holiday Transit Times in Ontario

Most Ontario destinations receive their gifts within one business day after shipment. During peak December volume, some carriers may experience slight delays, especially in rural areas. Ordering early and following our 12 p.m. EST cutoff ensures the best possible delivery experience for your recipients.
